The FairTax is a single-rate, federal retail sales tax collected only once, at the final point of purchase of new goods and services for personal consumption. Used items are not taxed. To terminate the Department of Education: Mike Saliba is the only candidate in the 10th District to pledge his support for bill H.R. 899 and it’s 2025 successor, to terminate the Department of Education.
Most people don’t realize that the Department of Education did not begin operations until 1980. Prior to that, the United States had the best public schools in the world. Today, after over 40 years of the Department of Education, United States’ public schools are ranked 24th in the world.

Ending Qualified Immunity Act: Mike has pledged to support H.R.7085, a bill which has already been cosigned by members of the Republican, Democrat, and Libertarian Parties in congress. This bill eliminates the defense of qualified immunity in civil actions for deprivation of rights. Qualified immunity is a judicially created doctrine that protects government employees or those acting with state authority from being held personally liable for constitutional violations.
The RPM Act: The RPM Act of 2021 (H.R. 3281/S.2736), is common-sense, bi-partisan legislation to protect Americans’ right to convert street vehicles into dedicated racecars and the motorsports-parts industry’s ability to sell products that enable racers to compete. The bill clarifies that it is legal to make emissions-related changes to a street vehicle for the purpose of converting it into a racecar used exclusively in competition. It also confirms that it is legal to produce, market and install racing equipment. This bill has already received Republican and Democratic support. Mike will make this a Tri-Partisan bill
